I make complicated software work in the real world.

Portrait of Ignat Remizov

Right now I’m an Executive Director and the CTO at Zolvat. I helped take the company through EMI licensing and built much of the technical foundation it runs on. We launched in 2025. I lead the engineering work, but I’m still hands-on with the difficult parts.

Before that, I worked on advertising systems handling more than half a billion impressions a day, security and architecture engagements, shops, mobile apps, and a math-learning project I built with my father. I’m happiest fixing a real problem, documenting it clearly, and leaving the people and systems around it better than I found them.

I lead the work, and I still build.

I move between product decisions, system design, operations, and delivery. I’m at my best taking a fuzzy problem, finding what matters, and building something that works in practice.

designed transaction capacity
  • Led the technical and regulatory readiness behind the EMI licence granted by the Central Bank of Cyprus in June 2024, including ICT risk, security, governance, and BCP/DR.
  • Architected and delivered a proprietary core banking engine, corporate KYC onboarding, and transaction monitoring, avoiding a projected €250,000+ in third-party licensing costs.
  • Built SEPA and SWIFT processing around ISO 20022, with XML-DSig and mTLS bank integrations, sanctions/PEP screening, and rule-based risk scoring.
  • Built event-driven transaction processing with PostgreSQL LISTEN/NOTIFY wake hints and RabbitMQ on EKS for external flows. Internal transfers complete in milliseconds after compliance approval. The external path supports SEPA SCT Inst.
  • Directed 12+ engineers across Europe and Asia while designing AWS/GCP infrastructure, CI/CD, and an observability stack spanning metrics, logs, and traces.

  • Built a half-dozen web and mobile commerce products, connecting payments, shipping, parcel tracking, email campaigns, and the unglamorous back-office pieces that make a shop work.
  • Helped an antique store sell more than 1,000 items online through international storefronts and practical SEO work.
  • Refactored a Magento backend for 15% faster cache generation, maintained inventory and proprietary ordering tools, and documented them for whoever came next.

  • Built a bilingual math site and numerous iOS and Android learning games with my father, using Flash and Adobe AIR; the apps went on to make several thousand sales.
  • Turned lessons into interactive diagrams, animations, and small games, then helped tutor students who were struggling with the material.
  • At Fuzz Productions, contributed to 3+ iOS projects and set up Jenkins build-and-test automation that removed hours of manual App Store deployment work.

Pong and Archive may resolve in either order. Learn Packet Surge and complete both outcomes to unlock Thunder.

Terminal cd <place> takes the immediate shell route. tp <place> performs the drawn-circle rite and requires the cyan pencil equipped.

On touch screens, keep one finger on the joystick while other fingers drag separate Archive worlds; the cyan Pong paddle also follows a direct drag. Type help in the terminal for cheats.
